Scrap the proposed ban on new petrol, diesel and hybrid cars
The UK Government intends to stop the sale of all new petrol, diesel and hybrid cars by 2035, with the intention of being completely carbon neutral by 2050.
Little thought seems to have been given to how we are going to replace all those vehicles once their sale is banned. Despite generous subsidies, electric cars are more expensive than their conventional fuel counterparts and require large amounts of electricity.
This policy is horribly expensive and needless, and threatens the jobs and livelihoods of millions of people all over the country.
